Plot – "Detroit" narrates the events that took place in the city during a night in 1967, events that led to terrible consequences. The summer of 1967 was one of the most important in American modern history, because of the great protest movements that originated from the longevity of the war in Vietnam and from the period of racial and social injustice that America was going through. Big cities were the heart of this turmoil and building rage, because that's where discrimination and racial inequality were the mostly centered. "Detroit" tells us what happened two nights after the start of the social revolution in the state of Michigan, famous for the car industry. Some weapons were found stored near a National Guard station and this forced the Michigan National Police, the Detroit Police Department and the Michigan National Guard along with some local private officers to take over a building near Algiers Motel. Acting against the law, many police officers brutally interrogated the motel's guests in order to intimidate them and make them confess their crimes. The situation though went out of control: by the morning three black men were found dead and nine (seven black men and two white women) were beaten savagely.
