Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs is a movie that will be enjoyed by all, young kids and parents as well adults. The movie is based on a children's book of the same name. The movie has been released in 3D as well as the normal movies. But to truly enjoy this movie one should see it only in 3D.

The story involves a young inventor Flint (voice of Bill Hader) who is ridiculed ends up inventing a machine which can convert water into any type of food. The town that hates him suddenly loves him as they are tired of eating sardines and welcome Flint's new invention. Also involved is a girl Sam Sparks (Anna Faris) who plays Flints love interest. The machine ends up in the atmosphere and rains the chosen food items. Trouble starts when the machine starts malfunctioning and his mirror project brings chaos of food to the streets.

The movie is full of small gags which will make everyone laugh. But these gags are mainly because of the lines of the supporting cast. Flint's pet monkey Steve (Neil Patrick Harris) plays Flint's funny sidekick who wants the machine to make it rain Gummi Bears. The movie brings every child's dream of having a city full of ice cream true and is truly spectacular.

Overall the movie could have had a few more jokes in the second half but where jokes lacked, the movie was amazingly compensated for the 3D effects. Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs has the most brilliant 3D effects at all the right scenes and it does not seem that it is overdone.

So go ahead and enjoy a great movie which will be liked by all but be sure to see it only in 3D so that one doesn't miss out on all the fun.
