Unfortunately, Gerard has to work with another agent, John Royce, who he doesn’t know and despises. After a nonstop manhunt between Chicago and New York, Gerard finds out that Roberts is actually an agent called Sheridan, ex-Marine and ex-CIA agent, who recently became an independent killer. Sheridan is wanted for the killing of two member of the diplomatic secret service who were chasing a Chinese spy. Sheridan is combed by UN, the Chinese government and Gerard. Gerard’s suspicion about Royce interferes with the job: Royce turns out to be very familiar with governmental actions and when the chase reaches the end of the line, Gerard’s doubts reveal to be true.
