The parents warmly welcome him and the mother Grace tries to make him feel comfortable. Anna is engaged to Eric, an ambitious young guy. In the family there are also a brother and two sisters: Nina, who’s blind, and Karen, who works in the feminist theatre. Danny reads Nina books and he walks with her. Danny is brave enough to tell Eric that he is in love with Anna. Suddenly, Grace dies and Anna pushes Eric away.
