Plot – One night during a deluge in Chicago, a hapless and scoundrel thief is the only one to witness the fall of a plane over the city. For no specific reason - and going against his will and habits - he instinctively enters the burning plane, saves the lives of several people, steals a handbag, runs away, asks a mildly alcoholic for a ride and returns home. Among the passengers saved in the disaster is an eager reporter, who starts looking for the unknown hero.
